Day 2: A Favourite Movie

A Favourite Movie, not THE favourite movie, because I can never ever actually choose a very top favourite.

Any film that makes me laugh and laugh is a good movie and one of those is Bridesmaids.

It came out at the movies and everyone was talking about it, but I was in the thick of babies and creche and getting back to work and the time to see it just never arrived. It finished at the cinema and people were still laughing and making references to it.

Once it was on DVD I grabbed a copy, waited for a night when Mr H was out, stocked up on chips and drinks, got the kids to bed and I stayed up late and laughed and laughed and laughed.

If you like super funny chick flicks, this one is a goodie. If you have seen it, what did you think?

Most of you will have seen it, so here is the blooper reel to remind you again of some funny stuff.

Have you got a favourite movie to share today?

  1. Bridesmaid made me nearly pee my pants. But Kristen Wiig has a tendency to do that :)

  5. I have to admit that I'm not usually one for obvious humour, but this movie has always had me in stitches, my fav part is when she reverses back, forward on the highway and speaks to her 'police friend'! :)

  6. You know I don't think I have actually seen Bridesmaids. I do love a good comedy though.

  10. I haven't seen it - will put it on the list. Nothing nicer than having a chick flick night to oneself. Recently I watched About Time on DVD - such a lovely movie (from the makers of Love Actually and Notting Hill etc..)

  13. I don't have my fav movie blog post ready yet, I wont be scheduling it until at least the 12th May. So I wont link up.
I do love Bridesmaids, but one movie that I saw recently that I totally loved (which Kristen Wigg is in too) is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I'm not a huge fan of Ben Stiller, but this movie really appealed to me. It was cute, funny and Walter was someone I could relate too.

  14. Bridesmaids is one of my faves. Just watched "Perfect Pitch" this week and it has the same hilarious over the top moments. And the music is so very clever. Have you seen it? Wait until Mr H is away again and do a chick flick. You won't regret it!

  15. Pitch Perfect also has Rebel Wilson in it ;) x

  16. While I strongly feel no one should have ever let Gwenyth sing, I have fond memories of this song too. My BFF loves it, and we were living together when it came out. She used to play it to annoy me and I used to poke fun at her.

  17. I love Bridesmaids!! It was so hard for me to pick just one movie so I blogged about the 4 that I love. I think I may watch way too many movies! It might even be one of my fave hobbies. Can you call movie watching a hobby?

  18. I love Bridesmaids. One of my favourite things about the film was rediscovering the Wilson Phillips song at the end :-)
