To me, cats have beady eyes that stare at me and say "I am going to scratch your eyes out while you sleep"
They have claws that ruin furniture and doors.
Stinky kitty litter trays and they leave fur over people's clothes.
But see this, that yellow bunch of petals is Immy giving 'my precious' flowers from the garden. It was also given leftover tuna mornay from the weekend.
Immy didn't leave the thing alone for five hours. Chased it all over our yard, grabbed it and tried to carry it everywhere, cried her eyes out when it jumped on the fence for a break from her.
Popps thinks it is a circus cat, as he tight rope walked along our fence.
As a mum who wants their children to have the things that make them truly happy, I want them to fall in love with a pet.
But those cats eyes will forever freak me out.

Still cute - I hope you find it's owner or it a new home.
ReplyDeleteWe have three really, delightfully, positively cute kittehs here ...8wks old and ready go to loving homes.
Well you have got yourself a cat!
ReplyDeleteAww... what a cutie.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it only the other day you told me cat food all over the floor was the reason you didn't want a pet? hehe.
Ha! As someone who has found herself as a foster mama of 4 kittens I hear you sister! Maybe the kitty could wear sunglasses? ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this story.
ReplyDeleteOne of my most vivid memories growing up was at my grandparents has they had this cat called "ginger" which I used to try and cuddle yet it used to scratch the crap out of me!
I remember Nanna washing me up in the bathroom and putting bandaids on all of my scratches.
Turns out the cat was in fact a stray and Mum had named it princess when she was growing up!
