I was robbed. Robbed I tell you.

Just a handful of the items thrown my way

I am back from the Aus Blogging Conference. It was fantastic, possibly the best conference I have ever attended. They had organised excellent sponsors like all good marketing folk do.

The dinner had a sponsor too, they announced they would be giving prizes to the best dancers of the night.

Due to being robbed I won't be mentioning them.

Let's just say Nikki and I, the stage and the product, we were dancing up a storm. We turned "Man, I feel like a woman" into a "those that won't be named" theme song. Our moves were so good that I wouldn't be surprised if 'Dancing with the Stars' or 'So you think you can Dance' start knocking on the door at anytime.

But no, the people from 'those that wont be named' failed to provide me with a prize, and Nikki only gets a consolation prize being sent to her in the post (though this might be a bloody good prize!)

Truly. I was robbed.

Or, perhaps it is time to hang up my dancing heels and signature moves.

  8. So sad that a) I missed meeting you and b)didnt get to witness what sounds like a spectacular dance off! If anyone has video footage I'm sure we could all gather round to give you scores a-la Dancing With The Stars...

  9. Well, I was suitably impressed by the moves. In fact, so impressed was I, I have already decided to include 'the vacuum cleaner' move in to my lifelong dancing repertoire. For reals.

  10. I think Torkona is right, some video evidence might be required. Maybe you can start a petition; I'd be happy to sign once said evidence was provided ;)

  12. You were robbed. Clearly the sponsor that shall not be named had not been using said product and had a head full of dust.
I shall watch for you on this years So you think you can dance.

    Lovely to meet you.

  15. Maybe because you were previously caught spreading vicious rumours about people weeing on their fish at dinner...

Don't ever give up those signature moves!

  16. Haha! I kept telling everyone I was going to tango with the product that won't be named but then realized if I won it I'd have to ship it across the country and I already had to buy another bag to take home the swag goodies in!

Say Hi to Sonya Kruger for me when you get on the show.

  17. I saw those awesome dance moves and surely felt you deserved a prize. I mean seriously, it took so much thought and effort to come up with that dance idea - how could they not reward you! I sure had a good laugh over it and felt that at least you should receive a bravery award for doing a such a dance in front of so many women who love to photograph and record everything on a public forum. naomi x
